Enjoy a winter wonderland with snowmen, deer, squirrels and chickadees. Sisbro Studios created a movie and soundtrack based on the New York Times best-selling children's book Stranger in the Woods by Michigan photographers Carl R. Sams II and Jean Stoick. Together, the book and movie have won over 25 international awards.
The Movie
Journey deep into the winter woods and meet two snowdrifts, Pierre (who speaks with a bad French accent) and his friend Janine (a singer at heart). Together, Pierre and Janine will introduce you to their forest friends and reminisce about the time when a friendly stranger came to visit. Watch as live video blends with award-winning photography from the children's book Stranger in the Woods, by Carl R. Sams II and Jean Stoick, to tell the magical tale of animals reacting to a snowman who appears after a winter storm.

The Soundtrack
The soundtrack features a book read-along, as well as all the music from the movie. Listen to a squirrel and doe sing a lively duet called Mixed Nuts. Hear two snowdrifts sing a blend of melodies that celebrate the winter season. As composers Laura and Robert say, “We tried to create music that parents wouldn't mind listening to in the car, over and over again.” Winner of the 2002 NAPPA Children's Resource Gold Award for Spoken Word & Storytelling.
